Overview

Performance and Reliability

Cattani compressors are renowned for their high performance, reliability and longevity. Nothing but clean and dry air, all the time.

Quality

The success of the Cattani compressor around the world can be attributed to superior quality; from design, to the selection of materials, to the final production. No aspect of their manufacture
is neglected; pistons and cylinders are individually checked to ensure conformity to parameters within microns. It is for reasons such as these that we are able to give a 5-year warranty on every compressor we sell.

Performance

Cattani compressors have outstanding performance, and this is a factor that should always be considered when purchasing any compressed air system. A unit with insufficient performance means loss of power at hand
pieces, a shorter lifespan (due to the compressor working for longer periods) and a greater chance of moisture passing through to the surgeries.

How much are you paying per litre of compressed air?

To compare performance of brands against cost, divide the price of the unit against its performance at 5 bar (this is a pressure at
which the compressor is working). Sometimes you’ll find the cheaper units really aren’t that cheap after all.

All Cattani compressors can be fitted with a bacterial filter, which is 99.9999+% efficient at 0.01 micron particles.

Low maintenance

Change one filter per cylinder every six months, empty a bottle every few months. That’s it.

From single surgery systems up to systems for 200 surgeries, we have the right air compressor for every situation.

How it Works

Here we show the full-length compressor (K200). An animation of the process will play through steps 1-5. At step 2, the compressor will spin around to reveal the radiator and spin back again.

1. Air is drawn into the cylinders through an inlet filter.
2. The air is compressed and enters the radiator, cooling the air to dew-point.
3. Compressed air then enters the dessicant dryer, filled with silica gel, which holds moisture.
4. The clean, dry air then enters the compressor tank.
5. When the system is deactivated, a charge of compressed air is blown through the dessicant dryer, expelling condensation, into the condensation bottle (not shown).

Introduction

Be it a single point dust extraction system, or a system with hundreds of points, Cattani can design and product an evacuation system tailored to meet your requirements.

A basic system comprises a suction motor, filtration system, control panel and extraction point/s.

Suction motors

Cattani suction motors are side channel blowers, a tried and tested means of air transfer. As they have no touching parts there is no wear and therefore have an extremely long life.

Filtration systems

The basic unit is a disposable dust bag contained within a plastic housing. For larger systems we have a range of centralised dust collectors with self-cleaning features.
